The plant in Rezzato (near Brescia) was built in 1964, with the latest technologies at that time, and it has always been a reference as to Italcementi's attention to the environment.

In early 2014, as part of a scheduled plan, a full maintenance phase, including the replacement of the insulation materials used in hot units, has started for this plant, aiming at reducing emissions by almost 80%. ROCKWOOL TECHNICAL INSULATION delivered materials for thermal insulation.
