Johan Sverdrup phase 2

ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation has been awarded a contract for supplying architectural insulation for Johan Sverdrup phase 2 offshore Norway. The field is operated by Equinor. In addition to Equinor, the field partners comprise Lundin Norway, Petoro, Aker BP and Total.

The second development phase has a capital expenditure of NOK 41 billion. In addition to construction of a new processing platform (P2), the development will also include modifications of the riser platform, five subsea systems, and preparations for power supply from shore to the Utsira High in 2022.

The insulation is installed at Aibel's yard in Laem Chabang, Thailand where the new platform is under construction.

ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation is supplying A60 fire rated insulation for architectural areas.
