Bergading

The EPCIC contract covers work on a wellhead platform, a central gas-processing platform (CPP), and a bridge between the two. The Bergading central processing platform is designed for a capacity of 450 MMcfd of gas, of which 430 MMcfd will be exported to an onshore gas terminal in Terengganu.

The shallow water Bergading complex, in 197ft (60m) water depth, is part of the full field development project in North Malay basin, which Hess operates under a production sharing contract (PSC) with Petronas.

The CPP will be constructed at HHI's offshore yard in Ulsan, South Korea, while the other facilities will be constructed by its appointed fabrication sub-contractor in Malaysia.

Offshore installation of the Bergading facilities is scheduled to take place by the end of 2016.

ROCKWOOL TECHNICAL INSULATION is supplying ProRox PS 960 ALU and ProRox WM 950 insulation for the topsides piping and vessel insulation and SeaRox SL 620 ALU for fire rated areas.
